Complete with timber battens for easy fixing to a tree or side of building.
Natural branch not included.
The battens should be fixed to the side or bottom of the box with the smaller screws provided and then screwed to the tree or building with the longer screws. Finally drill and fit the bolts through the battern and box to give additional strength. You can also fix the battens to the box and then use strong wire to attach the box to a tree.

These boxes have been carefully designed following advice of leading specialists. But can be made to order to suit individual preferences or regional variations.
Thick 18mm (3/4 inch) Construction provides insulation and warmth.
Quality softwood plywood will not split or warp.
Rust resistant fastenings used throughout.
External sizes 55cm (21 1/2″) long x 33cm (13″) high x 29.5cm (11 1/2 “) with 15cm (6”) overhang.
Opening size 25cm (10″) x 18cm (7″)
Should be positioned as high as possible at least 5mtr above ground.
Natural untreated timber this will allow the box to weather quickly and not discourage the bird with unpleasant smells.
Secure waterproof roof held on with Stainless Steel screws allows for easily removal for cleaning in the autumn for years to come.
Stainless steel screws included to fix the box allows easy removal for the whole life of the box. If the box is fixed to a tree the screws should never be left in when the box is removed.
Box should be positioned at least 5mtr high but they will next as low as 2.5mtr so the opening is out of the rain and wind and facing somewhere between north & south-east. The box should slop gently back so the eggs roll to the back. Fix a piece of natural branch which extends to one side this will allow the Adults and Young to sit alongside the box with a good view in all directions.
The birds should have a clear flight to the nest box opening and away from feeding containers and tables as this causes conflict between nesting and feeding birds. Old nesting material should be removed in October or November and the box scalded with boiling water to kill parasites, do not use any treatments powders or preservatives.
Timber is a natural product & when exposed to nature may shrink, swell, split & distort. This is a natural process and will not affect its structural properties. We cannot accept any claims for returns in regard to these natural processes.
